Access to quality education often depends on economic and social factors, leaving some children without the same opportunities as others. The difference in education levels between elite schools (like NIS and KTL) and schools in vulnerable contexts is massive. According to statistics, rural students lag behind their urban peers by at least six months in terms of education.
Sad, isn’t it?
That’s why SDU TFQ Club exists—to raise awareness about this issue among SDU students and represent the nonprofit organization Teach for Qazaqstan within our university.
Teach for Qazaqstan (TFQ) is an educational program inspired by the global Teach for All initiative. Its mission is to reduce educational inequality in Kazakhstan by training and supporting young specialists willing to teach in underprivileged schools.
Since TFQ recruits bachelor’s, master’s, and professionals from various fields to share their knowledge and become role models, we aim to increase awareness about this program at SDU.
We strive to:
✅ Raise awareness about educational inequality.
✅ Empower SDU students through educational events, training sessions, and discussions.
